Lauren Hinrichs PT, DPT, OCS-Doctor of Physical Therapy
Lauren Hinrichs joined Cascade Sports in 2013. She graduated from Ohio’s Miami University in 2006 with a dual major, exercise science and athletic training. She then obtained her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2008 from Northwestern University in Chicago, where she performed research in vestibular rehabilitation. Lauren has enjoyed living and treating patients in Colorado since 2009
Lauren has a passion for working with the broad spectrum of athletes and utilizing her skills of manual therapy and exercise prescription on patients with orthopedic diagnoses. This passion for orthopedics led her to continue her education through the Orthopedic Residency program at Temple University Lauren is Board Certified as an Orthopedic Specialist through the APTA, as well as being certified in Trigger Point Dry Needling. She has presented poster cases at the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy national conference as well as being involved in research on shoulder pain and best treatment options.
Lauren currently enjoys balancing her time between treating patients and teaching future physical therapists at University of Colorado Physical Therapy program realizing that each give her the skills and knowledge to keep her current with the best evidence in clinical care and education.
On a personal level, Lauren grew up playing a wide variety of sports; however, currently enjoys a balance of gym time and outdoor activities of hiking and trail running .
Lauren’s goal includes creating an individualized, patient centered plan of care which, upon completion, will empower the patient with the knowledge and skills to return to a symptom-free life.
