Ryan Pineda PT, DPT, OCS- Doctor of Physical Therapy
Ryan was born and raised in San Diego, CA, and received his undergraduate degree in Kinesiology from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. His love for sports started at a young age, but he primarily focused his efforts towards basketball and baseball through college. He then went on to earn his Doctorate of Physical Therapy at Regis University and proceeded to complete Regis’ Orthopaedic residency the following year.
Through his residency training, he learned to embrace the role of a physical therapist being a primary care provider who can help diagnose and advocate for their patients across all medical fields. He initially spent time growing into his role as a clinic manager at an outpatient clinic, focusing on evidence-based, holistic care for all populations, and attained his Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist Certification (OCS). Through his experience, he found himself gravitating towards his love for treating athletes and individuals with a strong work ethic, motivation, and love for activity.
Outside of the clinic, Ryan enjoys teaching as an affilitate faculty member in Regis’ DPT program. You can often find him and his family running and hiking around their Tennyson neighborhood, floating the Upper Colorado river, trying new restaurants and breweries, sneaking in golf rounds, and attending many sporting events. He’s cautiously optimistic that he’ll get to see the first championship for either of his hometown teams in his lifetime… Go Padres and Chargers!
