Maizie Diehl PT, DPT, CSCS- Doctor of Physical Therapy
Maizie Deihl was born and raised in New Prague, Minnesota, where she grew up competing in basketball, track, and cross country. After tearing her ACL and meniscus on the basketball court in high school, she developed a strong passion for the rehabilitation process and decided to pursue a career in physical therapy. Maizie attended the University of Minnesota-Duluth and the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire where she played collegiate basketball and obtained her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. Following a gap year spent traveling and working as a certified personal trainer and middle school basketball and track and field coach, she went on to earn her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus.
Maizie first joined the Cascade team in 2024 as a student and transitioned into a full-time physical therapist following graduation. Maizie is a member of the APTA and AAOMPT. She is also certified in Functional Dry Needling and holds her Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) credential. As a clinician, Maizie is passionate about helping athletes of all ages return to the court, field, trails, and slopes, recognizing the powerful role human movement plays in both physical and mental well-being. Maizie utilizes a holistic, patient-centered, and evidence-based approach to care aimed at optimizing recovery while empowering patients to build long-term performance and resilience against future injury.
When Maizie is not in the clinic, she enjoys training for marathons and triathlons, hiking and trail running in the Rockies, knitting and embroidering hats, walking dogs around Wash Park, and scoping out local coffee shops for the best lavender oat milk latte in Denver.
